Sheer Delight is now an Anita Care "Centre of Excellence". In March 2011, Julie and Helen attended a two-day seminar at Anita Lingerie's headquarters in Brannenburg, Germany and production facilities in Kufstein, Austria and Bad Tölz, Germany, where the Anita Care lingerie and breast forms are made.

Anita Care lingerie promote "competence centres" that are specialist dealers recommended by Anita. These centres, including Sheer Delight, provide the highest quality in advice and products for your individual needs.

Julie and Helen, along with a dozen other retailers, travelled out to Munich on Sunday 6th March in readiness for a two-day Anita® Care Seminar. We were picked up at the airport and then driven, at speed, to the hotel in Kufstein, Austria. The following day started with a tour of the Anita Lingerie logistic centre in Kufstein. We now have an understanding of how our orders are processed and what happens to products arriving into the centre.

After lunch we discussed Anita Care mastectomy products including the various breast forms; a lovely lady modeled the pocketed lingerie and swimwear; followed by a practical workshop on the daily care of a prosthesis. It was a long but extremely interesting and informative day.

The next day was an early start with the coach taking us to Anita Lingerie Headquarters in Brannenburg. This was a tour to show us where all the various fabrics that make up a bra or swimsuit are cut by machine or even by hand. A single bra may have as many as 60 separate pieces; even the fabric that may look the same in one part of the bra is actually totally different in another part of the bra. Seeing this helped us to appreciate the reasons for the cost of quality lingerie. We then travelled to Bad Tölz to visit the centre where the development and production of the prostheses takes place. The whole process is done by hand, which together with the silicone substance itself, explains why these products are the price they are. We have some samples of the components that make up a breast form; do pop into the shop to have a look and feel, you will be surprised!

It was an extremely interesting and informative two-day visit for both of us. We each received an individual certificate and most importantly a certificate for Sheer Delight declaring us an Anita Care Centre of Excellence.

As Sheer Delight is now an Anita Care Centre of Excellence, our customers will benefit in many ways.
